About the Role

Trak Global Security Solutions is recruiting Field Installation Engineers to join our growing

team across multiple locations in the UK. We are looking for both Engineers and Specialist

Engineers to carry out installation activities for our Telematics On Board Units (OBU) across

a wide portfolio of customers in the fleet, rental, mobility and insurance sectors.

Specialist Engineers will work at the forefront of automotive innovation, engineering cutting-

edge telematics solutions for high-performance, luxury and bespoke vehicles.

Installation activities take place at customer premises and regional vehicle storage centres

across your allocated region.

    • Key Responsibilities

      • Carry out installation, servicing and de-fleeting of telematics On Board Units (OBU)

      within your allocated region, adhering to company standards and procedures.

      • Remove tracking devices from vehicles at the end of their lifecycle or as required.

      • Assess the operational status and suitability of vehicles for tracking device

      installation or removal.

      • Ensure all installations meet required technical and safety standards.

      • Maintain accurate records of current stock levels and manage personal inventory to

      ensure sufficient device availability for the weekly work schedule.

      • Ensure the company vehicle is regularly maintained and serviced; promptly report

      any fault codes or mechanical issues to management.

      • Accurately document installation details to support effective tracking and ongoing

      reporting from devices.

      • Report any operational issues or incidents to management immediately.

      • Manage your own weekly diary and work schedule effectively.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Essential — Engineer

    • Experience of electrical device installation, ideally in an automotive setting.

    • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.

    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a weekly diary of work.

    • Results and metrics driven, solutions-focused mindset.

    • Excellent attention to detail.

    Essential — Specialist Engineer (in addition to the above)

    • Minimum three years of auto electrical experience.

    • Demonstrable experience working on high-end, luxury or bespoke vehicles.

    • Willingness to undergo a DBS (CRB) check.

    • Some domestic travel required; valid UK driving licence essential

  • Desirable — All Roles

    • AVI Approved installer qualification

Pay

£28,500 per annum

 

Schedule:

8 hour shift- Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
